17/18 Apr 2010. Greg Young, Viera, FL qualifies 8th in the Altamonte Lanes Loschetter Tournament. Going into match play Greg shoots 300 backed up with a 230 and 247 game to start his competition and finishes 2nd. Bowling out of the #2 position in the TV style roll-off, Greg shots 205-156 to win his first Upper Division title.
David Lance, Merritt Island, FL qualified 10th in the Lower Division and finished 6th after match play, just missing the TV style roll off.

Stromberg Returns
12 Apr 2010. Matt Stromberg, Vero Beach, FL returns to bowling after a long lay-off and finishes 5th in 5 game Scratch Sweeper in Boyton Beach Lanes. Congrats!

Brevard Bowlers Dominate Loschetter

Loschetter Tournament at Shore Lanes, Merritt Island rewards dividends to Youth Bowlers with the following results after qualifying on Saturday for the Upper and Lower Division participants:
Upper Division
Elise Bolton, Merritt Island was qualifying leader averaging 230.8
Michael Coffey, Melbourne, was 3rd averaging 224.2
Greg Young, Viera, was 11th averaging 208.6
John Patrick, New Symrna Beach was 15th averaging 200.1
Lower Division
David Lance, Merritt Island qualified 2nd averaging 202
Rachel Vaughn, Port St. Lucie qualified 3rd averaging 196.6
Kyle Gordon, Indian Harbour Beach qualified 8th averaging 185.9
The top 12 bowlers in each division returned for match-play competition and the TV styles roll-offs. In the Upper Division: Elise Bolton continued to dominate the tournament maintaining her hold on the field by being the leader after match-play and in first place for TV Style roll off. Michael Coffey throughout match play moved himself into second position, setting up the two locals for a roll-off at the title. Michael Coffey prevails and wins his second title at Shore Lanes. Greg Young finished 8th after match-play.
Lower Divison: After match-play David Lance finished in 2nd, Rachel Vaughn finished in 3rd place and Kyle Gordon was 8th, setting up a Lance/Vaughn TV style roll for 2nd position with Lance prevailing with a 278 game and moving him on to the championship game against Mike Wiszowaty. Lance/Wiszowaty match puts Lance as the victor with a 265 game and his first title in the lower division.

Local Bowlers Qualify for Teen Masters Championships

Brevard County bowlers win qualifying spots at Teen Masters Qualifier at the Kegel Training Center, Lake Wales, FL allowing them to compete in the Teen Masters National Championship at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, NV in July 2010.
Greg Young, Viera, FL won his division and finished 5th overall.
Elise Bolton, Merritt Island, FL won her division and finished 7th overall.
David Lance, Merritt Island, FL was second in his division and finished 10th overall

VAUGHN 2nd at "King of the Hill"

Rachel Vaughn of Port St Lucie finishes second at "King of the Hill" tournament at Port St. Lucie Lanes, 27 Feb 10 with games of 210, 238 and 223 in the title match. Congrats on another good performance.

KYPS-Feb Tournament-2010

Greg Young, of Viera, FL win U13 division for fifth time and finishes 7th overall in the KYPS Feb tournament in Lake Wales, FL. Elise Bolton, of Merritt Island was 3rd in her division and finished 14th overall. Other finishers: Michael Coffey, 17th overall, John Patrick, 31st overall and David Lance, Merritt Island, 36th overall and 2nd in his division.
